On the road again
I am travelling today so I guess I will share my thoughts with my fellow passengers drinking coffee on the ferries. I did put up the latest post of the adventures of Will Gunn. For those who haven’t been reading it and would like to get your head into some historical fiction, I invite you to click Just Fiction and start at the beginning.
The idea of writing Will Gunn came to me while Judi and I were in Caithness, Scotland. Wilson, you understand, is a Sept of the Clan Gunn. Whilst there I caught a ghost who told me the most fascinating story about Nicolo Zeno a well known Venetian who sailed from his home port in the spring of 1393 on a secret voyage via northern Scotland, that brought him to what is now Nova Scotia. Now keep in mind this is well before Columbus, and Zeno was joined on his voyage by Henry Sinclair, and James Gunn both Scots, and Knights Templar. I had so many questions. Why did he make such a voyage? What was looking for? Or, perhaps he was transporting something. The William Gunn trilogy sheds light on these questions through the eyes of William, a fictional character. It’s a trilogy. Book One Betrayal found on these pages, sets the stage for one of the most secret and yet historically important voyages ever to take place.
